Summit Crest Construction — A Family Tradition of Craftsmanship
For more than 35 years, Summit Crest Construction has been part of the Yakima Valley community, building more than 1,500 homes and creating places where families can put down roots, gather together, and make memories. As a local, family-owned company, building has never been just what we do, it’s who we are.
Today, Summit Crest is proudly a second-generation builder. Rich Hochrein built the company on a simple foundation: work hard, treat people honestly, take pride in your craftsmanship, and do things the right way. His son, Max, is now helping carry that tradition forward, bringing a new generation and fresh perspective while staying true to the values that have defined Summit Crest from the beginning.
We believe building a home is personal. It’s about listening, understanding what matters to each client, and creating a home that reflects not only how they live today, but the life they envision for the years ahead. Whether we’re building a custom home, a thoughtfully designed move-in-ready home, completing a renovation, or taking on a commercial project, the same care, quality, and hands-on commitment go into everything we build.
At Summit Crest, we’re proud of the homes we’ve built, but even more proud of the relationships and trust we’ve built along the way. After two generations and more than three decades, our commitment remains the same: build with integrity, stand behind our work, and create something we’d be proud to put our own family’s name on.
