VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Volunteer Setup Recommendations

  • Bring a table, chairs, tablecloth and shade (builders should provide all, but bring back-up). Plus device charger to access "Central Washington Home Tour" App.
  • Display your professional business marketing materials.
  • Keep water and snacks handy.
  • Arrive on time and ensure your area is set up by 10 AM. (Chefs on Tour 4PM).

 

Morning Routine (9:30 AM) (Chefs on Tour 3:30 PM)

  1. Check in with the builder on-site
  2. Place Tour of Homes directional signs out by 10:00 AM (Chefs on Tour 4PM)
  3. Set up the ticketing table with the provided items
  • Welcome and Voting sign.
  • "Thank You Sponsors" sign.
  • "Tour Rules" for attendees.
  • Copy the volunteer guide for the next group.
  • Ensure magazines and shoe covers are available for attendees.
  • Cash box, petty cash and pens.
  • (Chefs on Tour only: Ballot Box for People's Choice Voting, instructions below. And Swag Items: Each attendee will get a M.B. Design bag stuffed with a magazine, tasting glass, raffle ticket, and a tasting passport. )

Check supplies and cash on hand, record amount. Notify CWHBA staff if more supplies are needed.

 

During Shift Routine:

  • Welcome attendees
  • Scan their tickets using the directions below (shifts on September 13-14 ONLY encourage attendees to upgrade their ticket to Chefs on Tour ticket for $40. Keep SEPERATE track of Chefs cash sales.)
  • (Chefs on Tour only: Check their ID and place a wrist band on their wrist.)

 

Evening Routine (4:00 PM) (Chefs on Tour 9:00 PM)

  1. Collect and store all directional signs.
  2. Organize and secure the ticketing table items.
  3. Record the ending cash amount.
  4. Check out with builder on-site and return materials to them.

 

App Information
  • Login to the app "Central Washington Home Tour" by going to the menu and clicking “Admin/Staff” login.
  1. Username: volunteer-companyname (of the company who's home you're stationed at)
  2. Password: Provided on-site
  • Scanning Tickets: Go to the menu and click “Scan Tickets”. Select your home. Scan using the camera feature. Learn more from our app developers.
  • Selling Tickets: Go to the menu and click “Sell Tickets”. Select your home and ticket type. Enter the information and select Cash or Card.

 

Tour of Homes: People's Choice Voting Instructions

  1. Guests must visit all homes to be eligible to vote.
  2. Voting in the App: First register your ticket. Go to "People's Choice-Cast Your Votes" in menu. Select the house you love most. Submit your vote!
  3. The winner will be announced after the event.

 

Chefs on Tour: People's Choice Voting Instructions
  • Guests must taste all food and beverage companies to vote.
  • Using the tasting passport circle your favorite chef company (1) and beverage company (1) and place the passport into the ballot box.
  • The winner will be announced after the event.
