What: A design competition calling for those with a passion and an eye for interior design. A live interior white room design competition to take place at the Central Washington Home & Garden Show.
Who: Who's Eligible: Anyone that has a love for design and wants to showcase their talents. This contest will give you a SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT - And an outlet to demonstrate your love for design and share your outstanding work and ideas with others.
Prize: Home Show Attendees will vote for their favorite designer on Saturday and Sunday. The Designer with the most votes will win the deluxe prize package, featuring:
$1,000 Cash Prize

How it works:
Interested contestants will submit a bio and statement of why they should be chosen to compete at the live design challenge at the Home & Garden Show. The competition will take place in three phases:
Phase 1: 2/4 Contestants will submit bio and statement for competing in the Design Challenge.
Phase 2: 2/15 The panel of judges will narrow the list of contestants.
Phase 3: 2/19 Remaining Contestants will compete in a mini design challenge on KIMA. The judges will narrow down the field of contestants to 3-4.
Phase 4: The chosen contestants will have the remaining time leading up March 9th to develop, design and shop for their room.
Phase 5: Each contestant will have a blank 10x10 room at the Home & Garden Show. On Friday March 8th, each contestant will be given a contractor to work with in installing all items into the room. The contestant will be responsible for fully completing the room between the hours of 10am and 7pm.

Resources:
CWHBA will make available to the contests stores that will donate items to be included in the rooms. Each contestant will have a contractor to partner with to install all elements of the design.
